Amber and Tab got married at Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach North Carolina

Amber and Tab came down from Weaverville, NC to get married on a spectacular fall day on the Beach at the Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach NC. Guests came from all over the country to witness this beautiful ceremony. After the ceremony we photographed the families and the happy couple on the beach and then they had a wonderful brunch celebration at the ocean front ballroom of the Shell Island Resort.

Congratulations to Trish and Sean who recently celebrated a beautiful wedding ceremony on Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina and they had a very nice reception at the Isles Restaurant.

A couple of things about weddings on the beach though:

The best time to have a beach wedding is late it the day preferably around an hour before sunset.

The reasons: 10am till 3pm are the hottest and brightest times of the day on the east coast beaches. This causes high contrast and people squint and are irritated with the heat.

Please take our advice if you must have a wedding on the beach do it at the appropriate time for maximum enjoyment and for better photographs of course!

The River House in Winding River Plantation located in Bolivia North Carolina near Southport, was the beautiful setting for Cristy and Dan’s Wedding in Bolivia NC. After the ceremony they were transported by the Wilmington Trolley Company to the Southport Community center for a wonderful reception with friends and family. With many Freinds and family from all over the country it was a splendid evening for this very nice couple.

The Food was awesome and the drinks were flowing Nikki and her staff at Porter’s Neck did an outstanding job as always. And Jason Tatum was also phenomenal with the great music selection throughout the evening his company is Active Entertainment and he really knows how to get a party rolling!

Jennifer McKagen and Jason Rich had a beautiful day to exchange rings and vows at their beach wedding on Topsail Island North Carolina.

Jennifer and Jason married on Topsail Island

With hundreds of onlookers by the Pier in Surf City, the couple celebrated a perfect union on the beautiful coast on the Atlantic Ocean in Topsail North Carolina.

It was a very windy day but the sun was out and the temperature was nice and everyone was excited for this terrific couple. They had a fun reception which was beautifully catered by Class Act Catering, DJ Professionals provided the entertainment.

Jason surprised Jennifer with a honeymoon trip to Hawaii , where they took in the sights and took a helicopter tour of Kauai. That is a great way to start a marriage!

Holiday Inn at Wrightsville Beach North Carolina

The Holiday Inn at Wrightsville Beach is a beautiful oasis in southeast North Carolina.

The Holiday Inn oceanfront resort was remodeled last year and the guest rooms have excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean, and the Wrightsville Beach Sound and come equipped with new LCD tvs and microwave ovens and small refrigerators.

The Resort boasts a comfortable lobby with the live parrot mascots Abby and Gabby, a variety of spacious meeting rooms for large and small events. A very nice ocean front restaurant and lounge. A well stocked gift and sundry shop, and indoor and an outdoor pool, with a poolside tikki bar.

Minutes from downtown Wilmington and the ILM Airport the Holiday inn at Wrightsville Beach is great for the entire family. Plenty of wonderful shopping and restaurants minutes away as well as golf, tennis,boating,sailing,bowling and movie theaters. Not to mention fishing off of one of the longest piers on the east coast at Johnny Mercer’s Pier.

Great wedding at Saint Mark’s Church in Wilmington, NC on May 1, 2010.

Stephanie and Justin had a wonderful ceremony performed by Father Dan from Sacred Heart in Raleigh.

The Fantastic Reception was held at the City Club in Wilmington on third and Dock Street.

The couple looked fabulous and were transported to downtown Wilmington for some pictures by the Cape Fear River in front of the USS battleship

North Carolina near the Hilton Riverside Hotel.

The weather was spectacular with a nice breeze coming from the Cape Fear River.

The band that Stephanie and Justin Chose for their entertainment was really great they are called Stone Age Romeos and are from Raleigh North Carolina.

They are a fun and very talented group of fine musicians who we hope to hear again very soon. They play a great variety of songs for the seventies to current music.

The food and drink were plentiful at the City Club and the staff provided top notch service. Every one was having a wonderful time!

Wedding at Orton Plantation and Reception at Bellamy Mansion

Here are some images from a great wedding we had the privilege to photograph two weeks ago at Orton Plantation in Brunswick County. Maura Kropke provided the music during the ceremony with her melodic violin playing. The Reception was held in Downtown Wilmington at the historic Bellamy Mansion. Bon Appetite did a marvelous job catering the event.
